That is almost never true. I worked for years as an assistant at the highest level, and in that time I saw very precisely what people really want to hand over. It is rarely big, complicated things. It is appointments. Inboxes. Invoices that have to go out. Somebody who follows up when nobody replies. Bringing order to something nobody has touched for months.

Most of us did exactly those things long ago. For a boss, for a department, for a club, for our own family. We just do not call it that. We say, oh I just did that, and we carry on looking for the one ability we supposedly still lack.
